The Olea Processing Plant

Timely, efficient processing of olive fruit is essential to the production of high quality olive oil. To achieve this it is imperative that fruit, once harvested, is immediately processed into oil.

To ensure immediate processing Olea has constructed a state of the artprocessing facility at Dandaragan.

The process design of the plant will be intricately linked with mechanised harvesting to ensure maximised throughput and fruit quality with minimal time delays between harvesting and processing.

The facility provides a food grade environment in which two 5 tonne per hour extraction lines will be housed.

The first of these lines has been installed and will provide sufficient capacity to process all fruit from Olea groves and surrounding groves for the next three years after which the second line will be commissioned.

Olea has been contracted to provide processing services to three other major producers in the region which will further enhance production efficiency.

Once processed, oil will be transported to Olea’s centralised storage and packaging facility where oil will either be packaged for sale or prepared for bulk shipment overseas.

As with our processing facility, these services will also be offered to other large producers, making Olea an essential provider of processing and production services.
